Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Initial attendance was made to an Automatic Fire Alarm at the property.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival the alarm was sounding, however there was smoke evident and also a smell of electrical burning after further investigation.
An additional 3 appliances were requested to attend to assist in evacuating part of the property as well as investigating the source of the fire.
The fire was eventually found, this was electrical control panel to the lift involved in fire which was located in a void above the lift shaft accessed via the loft.
2 hose reel jets and a misting lance were used to extinguish the fire.
18 persons were evacuated from this part of the property to another area within the property.
Fire was extinguished - residents were eventually allowed back into this part of the property.
