Initial Information: Initial call from site staff requesting our attendance to reports of fire at site.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival assistance message received - make pumps 5.
Further assistance message make pumps 7.
01:10 - Informative Message - One open barn storing large amounts of recycling products involved in fire. Building measures 20M x 20M x 10M tall. 3 main jets and 1 hose reel in use.
03:00 - Incident being scaled down to 3 pumps - Fire Service attendance will remain throughout the day, Fire investigation will also be carried out.

10:30 - 3 fire appliances remain at the scene and damping down is in progress with 2 main jets and one short extension ladder in use. Fire investigation is currently being carried out.
11:02 - Good progress is being made with the assistance of on-site staff and machinery.

Public Statement Issued: Advice to members of the public, this incident has created a large plume of smoke. Currently due to the weather this is dispersing upwards into the atmosphere. However if properties within the immediate area are affected by the smoke, Forest Road and surrounding areas, then the advice is to avoid the smoke and keep windows and doors shut. There are no known hazardous materials in the smoke and it is general household waste involved, therefore the smoke is no more hazardous than a normal garden bonfire.
