Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Call received from the RSPCA requesting Fire Service assistance to rescue a deer from the canal after it had swam into some debris.

Upon arrival crews had located the deer and the deer's head is above water. Fire Service attempting to gain access to the deer from the other side of the canal bank.

Updated Incident Information: 11:04: Technical Rescue Team attempting to reach the deer using an Inflatable sled and dry suits.
11:25 - Technical Rescue are now standing by with Inflatable sled, waiting for the arrival of the vet assistance
12:00 - Technical Rescue teams now entering the water. Vet is in attendance and on standby
12:47 - Deer has now been rescued from the canal and has made its way back into nearby field.
