Initial Information: Cow had fallen into milking parlour pit and was not strong enough to get up and out of lower area
Updated Incident Information: The cow that had fallen had recently calved and was too weak to self rescue. Crews waited for technical rescue to formulate plan to extricate animal.
Plan was to construct a ramp out of straw to guide cow out of pit, slings and strops in use.
STOP message: cow has successfully been rescued from pit and was in a stable condition,, crews make up all equipment.
