Initial Information: Call from Leics Police to reports of an RTC involving 2 cars - 1 person trapped.
Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival incident confirmed as an RTC involving 2 vehicles, 1 person trapped, 4 other casualties at scene suffering injuries. A total of 5 Ambulances were requested.
A607 north and southbound is closed.
Fire Service are using hydraulic cutting equipment to extricate 1 casualty from vehicle.
19:55 - 3 x casualties with minor injuries have been assessed by EMAS and will be conveyed to LRI.
4th casualty has been extricated from vehicle by Fire Service and is being conveyed to QMC Notts by Ambulance.
Fire Service making vehicles safe.
20:10 - All casualties are now in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service. Handover to Police is currently taking place with regards to moving vehicles and debris from the carriageway. The Northbound carriageway will remain closed for some time.
