Believed Cause:

Initial Information: The initial call came from the Highways agency who had witnessed via the motorway cameras a road traffic collision potentially involving up to seven vehicles but there were a large number of vehicles stopped around the collision.
Police information confirmed that this was a tanker involved with a car with a person trapped. Fire Service personnel stabilised the casualty trapped inside the motor vehicle and started extrication confirmed that the tanker load had not been affected by the collision. Crews made the vehicle safe once extrication has taken place.
