Believed Cause:

Initial Information: The initial call was received by Fire Control from the Police advising of a van which had collided with a barrier on the roundabout and was hanging precariously over the A42 below.

On arrival, crews confirmed that a van had collided with the barrier and no persons were trapped. The A42 westbound has been closed due to vehicle debris and diesel leaking onto the carriageway and will remain so until the road has been cleared. The incident has been left with the Police and Highways Agency.
