Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Initial call received from the Ambulance service to a road traffic collision involving 2 cars with one persons trapped in a vehicle which was smoking.

Updated Incident Information: Upon attendance crews confirmed 2 cars involved in road traffic collision and that one person was trapped. Crews also confirmed that 2 further casualties were at scene and being treated by off duty paramedics and air ambulance staff. Cars involved were on all 4 wheels, crews extricating remaining trapped casualty.
Air ambulance doctors have assessed female casualty and are happy to immobilise casualty with long board from vehicle.
Casualty released from vehicle using long board and vehicles made safe by the fire service and taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary by road ambulance and incident left in the hands of the Police.
