Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Fire Service were called to reports of a car having crashed into a domestic property, vehicle smoking, strong smell of gas and reports of extensive damage to property.

Updated Incident Information: 13:47 - Informative Message - Incident involved 1 car into house, no persons trapped in vehicle or house, EMAS on scene dealing with 2 casualties, gas and electricity have both been isolated to this property, vehicle not yet made safe due to its position and location, Fire Service awaiting attendance of gas board and building inspector to formulate plan.
14:45 - National Grid attended and capped the gas supply, building inspector assessed damage to property, it is believed building will collapse if car is removed therefore building inspector advised property owners to contact their insurers to arrange a specialist shoring team / builder.
16:54 Fire Service re-attended to winch vehicle from property - structural integrity being overseen by building inspector and builders, vehicle made safe by Fire Service.
