Initial Information: Road traffic collision involving 3 vehicles. 1 casualty has been extricated prior to the arrival of the fire service. injuries include lacerations to the head and face. 2nd Casualty remaining in their vehicle. This casualty is believed to have no injuries but is awaiting the arrival of east midlands ambulance service for assessment. A kit dump is being assembled ready for extrication if necessary. Police are in attendance.

Updated Incident Information: 16:41 : Doctor has arrived at this incident and is assessing casualties and the severity of their injuries. fire service crews assisting doctor and awaiting his decision on a need to extricate the second casualty. carriageway is closed in both directions

16:59 : Doctor has assessed both casualties and is satisfied that they are both stable. We can now confirm there are no persons trapped and extrication is not required. ambulance is now in attendance.
