Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Call received to a 3 vehicle RTC with involving two cars and one HGV.

Updated Incident Information: HGV came to rest on its side down an embankment with the driver trapped and has shed its load of quarry stone.

Crews are cutting away trees and bushes with reciprocating saw to gain access to the HGV cab

Police, EMAS, Highways and FS in attendance.

The driver of one of the cars has been assessed by EMAS and discharged from the scene.

Highways have opened the second lane to allow flow of traffic.
