Believed Cause:

Initial Information: A call was received from the Police to advise us of a road traffic collision involving one car, which was on its roof. The Police were on scene and the driver had self rescued.

Updated Incident Information: 22:56 One car involved in RTC and one casualty had self rescued before the arrival of the Fire Service. Fire Crews are carrying out first aid on the casualty and an ambulance has been requested. Mill Lane has been closed in both directions.

23:12 Fire Service are unable to isolate the battery due to the vehicle being on its roof. The Police have arranged recovery of the vehicle and arranged for the Highways Agency to attend. Fire Service crews are remaining in attendance assisting with casualty care until the arrival of East Midlands Ambulance Service.
