Initial Information: Call received from the Police to a multi-vehicle road traffic collision involving three vehicles with one person believed trapped.
On arrival, it was ascertained that there were five vehicles involved plus a minibus, with one person trapped and the A47 was closed in both directions.
One female casualty extricated from the vehicle and conveyed to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
All vehicles made safe by the Fire Service.
Police, Fire Service and EMAS in attendance at incident.
