Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Emergency call receieved at 23:50 to a report of a car accident on Blackbird road Leicester close to the junction of Anstey Lane. Inital reports suggested a car had collided with the barriers and one person was thought to be trapped.

Updated Incident Information: Single vehicle involved in RTC. Vehicle has collided with barrier and pedestrian crossing. 1 male casualty has been extrciated from vehilce by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service peronnel and now in the care of EMAS (East Midlands Ambulance Service) 1 further casualty described to be walking wounded is also being assessed by EMAS. Leicestershire Police are also on scene and have closed Blackbird road.
