Believed Cause: The cause for this fire is under investigation

Initial Information: Several calls were received to this incident, which involved a car on fire on the driveway of a property. A further call advised that the fire was spreading to the house.
A further appliance was mobilised at the request of the fire crews at the scene.

Further messages from the incident confirmed that the fire had spread to the lounge window of the property. Crews confirmed that they were administering first aid to someone suffering mild smoke inhalation and an ambulance was requested from East Midlands Ambulance Service. Four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were in use and the fire was extinguished. The gas and electricity supplies to the property were isolated as a precaution and a fire investigation has been started to establish the cause.
