Initial Information: Vehicle stuck in rising flood water

Updated Incident Information: 09:08 hrs: 2 vehicles stuck in flood water. Request attendance of Police to close flooded road. Assessment being carried out awaiting arrival of Technical Rescue.
STOP at 09:12 hrs: contact has been made with lone female in car. Vehicle is in approx 1 foot of water. Lady is being walked to safety. Technical Rescue not required at this incident.
09:28 hrs: Driver of vehicle has now been left in local cafe for friend to pick up. Police are still required at this address as people are still attempting to drive through water.
POLICE HAVE CONTACTED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED A HARD CLOSURE OF THIS FLOODED ROAD.
