LFRS IN ASHBY DE LA ZOUCH OFFERING ADVICE AFTER SERIOUS FIRE

Following on from the commercial property fire in the afternoon of Wednesday 1 March, which led to the death of the male occupant, an investigation is now taking place.

Due to this tragedy, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service will be working in the local area during the next few days to provide reassurance and advice to local business owners and residents about how they can avoid a similar fire.

It’s essential everyone stays safe from fire in their properties, especially when the property has a mixed usage of commercial and residential. To help, we will be offering advice and guidance on fire safety and prevention.

We have planned to be in the local area on the following days so please come along and see us:

Saturday 4 March – 09:00 hrs – 13:00 hrs
Tuesday 7 March   – from 14:00 hrs

We will be located on Market Street, Ashby De La Zouch.

Please look out for posters advertising our presence in your local community.

In the meantime, a wide range of tips on how to keep you and your home safe from fire are available on Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s website which can be found by visiting www.leicestershire-fire.gov.uk/your-safety.
