Welcome
Welcome to Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS), where the safety and well-being of our community is at the heart of everything we do.
We serve the communities of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, covering an area of more than 979 square miles. We have a network of major motorways, an international airport, large scale businesses, buildings of historical importance and protected wildlife sites. With a mix of urban, semi-rural and rural localities, we operate from 20 Stations, with our headquarters in Birstall, Leicester.
In the past year we've responded to 8,259 emergencies, including fires and road traffic collisions. We've conducted 12,938 Home Safety Checks, fitted 3,546 smoke alarms, and educated 6,724 pupils on fire and road safety.
