Water Safety

Around 320 people drown in the UK every year and thousands more suffer injury, some life changing, through near-drowning experiences. Evidence shows that 44% of drowning fatalities happen to people who had no intention of entering the water. This is a stark reminder that it isn't just traditional water users who get into danger.

Home Fire Safety Checks

A Home Fire Safety Check is a free visit to your home by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and its partners. During the visit we will provide advice on how to prevent fires and what to do in the event of a fire. This will last approximately 30 minutes. As part of this service, smoke alarms may be fitted and subsequent maintenance and replacement of these becomes the responsibility of the homeowner.
