Initial Information: Call received from East Midlands Ambulance Service requesting Fire Service attendance to a multi vehicle road traffic collision involving 2 x lorries and 2 x cars. One person potentially trapped.
***Highways Agency are putting in a full road closure on the M1 Northbound from J22***
Updated Incident Information: 13:30 - This is a road traffic collision involving 2 x cars and 2 x HGV's. There are no persons trapped. 1 casualty is being assessed and treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Fire crews are currently making vehicles safe.
13:47 - All vehicles have now been made safe. 1 casualty is being conveyed to hospital. Crouches recovery are beginning the recovery of vehicles. Highways Agency are beginning to cleanse the carriageway. Incident has now been handed over to the Highways Agency.
