Hate incidents are when people are targeted because of who they are, this can be based on their age, disability, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation or because they are transgender.

Hate incidents can take many forms, from verbal abuse, graffiti, nuisance telephone calls through to assaults and refusal of services.  If you’re a victim of a hate incident, or know someone who is being targeted you should report it.

You can report hate crime to your local authority or the Police.
