Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service believes that everyone, regardless of their age (young or elderly), should have the right to be treated fairly and with respect.

However, the Service recognises that every day, across the globe, age can influence how a person is treated and the quality of services that they receive. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is working to ensure that the workplace is an enjoyable environment for all employees and those that come into contact with the services.

Age and the Workforce

The majority of the workforce is aged between 36 and 55 years. This group accounts for 71.3% and this remains largely static over the last five years.
