About
Eastern Fire and Rescue Station was officially opened by Lord Mayor Alderman Stanley Tomlinson in March 1973, after being built to replace the old Asfordby Street Fire and Rescue Station. Crews from Eastern Fire and Rescue Station have attended most of the large fires in and around Leicester city since then and currently attend a varied range of incidents including building fires, road traffic collisions, chemical incidents and special service incidents.
Duty/Crewing at station
Eastern Fire and Rescue Station is crewed by four watches of wholetime staff on a 2-2-4 duty system.
