FIRST CONTACT

First Contact is a multi-agency scheme across Leicestershire bringing a range of services to vulnerable adults who are resident within Leicestershire.

The scheme is run by Leicestershire County Council in partnership with the district councils, the police, the fire and rescue service, voluntary groups and other organisations that work with vulnerable people. When a staff member from any of the partner agencies goes into a home or receives or makes a telephone call, such as a firefighter, police officer or volunteer, they will complete one simple checklist to find out if the older person has any other particular needs.

Our services are available to anyone who is vulnerable and finds it hard to access help through regular channels, such as completing forms over the telephone or online.
