Incident on Burnmoor Street, Leicester - Last updated 10:30 03 December

We are currently in attendance at a significant incident on Burnmoor Street, Leicester.

Our initial response involved:

  • Ten fire engines
  • Two Aerial Ladder Platforms
  • Eight Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • A Command Support Unit
  • A Welfare Vehicle

Our crews used breathing apparatus in tackling the fire, which was located on the ground floor of the property. A rapid rescue was carried out using our short extension ladder, and all persons were accounted for.

Road Closures

03 December, 09:00: Road closures are in place on Burnmoor Street.

02 December: To support the ongoing response, road closures are in place on Raw Dykes Road, Burnmoor Street, and Brazil Street. We ask the public to avoid the area to ensure the safety of all.
